RIPLEY - Batters have trouble keeping their eyes off it.
It's a hard to miss blue sign in straight away center field, justbeyond a Ripley pitcher's blue cap. And it's white letters detailsomething all high schoolers are after - Ripley's 2004 Class AAAstate title.
So it was only natural for South Charleston Coach Mike Carte tosee it, even though he didn't need to. He sees Ripley's success inother ways.
