Sentido Launches Sustainability Program

Sentido Hotels and Resorts announced the launch of a newsustainability program.

In a release, Sentido Managing Director, Stefanie Berk, said, theprogram focuses on "integrating an environmentally friendly approachin everything we do," and the benchmark is the Travelife Award.

Travelife is an independent certification system which evaluatesaccommodation and other service providers against ecological andsocial criteria. Depending on the outcome of the assessments, hotelsreceive a gold, silver or bronze award which is valid for two years.Some 100 criteria are assessed including fair staff remuneration,reduced water and energy consumption, waste reduction and apreference for purchasing goods from local suppliers. Two hotelshave already been awarded Travelife certification; the SentidoSultan Beldibi and the Sentido Perissia in Turkey.

The Sentido Perissia is situated amidst spacious gardens and notfar from the historical and cultural highlights of Side.

The Sentido Sultan Beldibi is set in a fragrant orange grove.
