ATLANTA - On the eve of today's dramatic return in Cincinnati, Pedro Martinez sat at his locker, mesmerized by the highlights from rookie Clay Buchholz's no-hitter for the Boston Red Sox.
When Buchholz rifled a fastball straight past one Baltimore Orioles batter, Martinez chuckled and said, "Here's a little gas for your (rhymes with 'gas')."
It's a feeling that Martinez has longed for during his 11-month rehab from rotator-cuff surgery, and one that he hopes to recapture today for the New York Mets against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.
