NSW: Rainfall recorded in drought stricken regions of state
The weather bureau says rain is falling in some of New South Wales' drought-strickenregions, but not enough to help.
Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster PHILIP KING says a line of showers with thunderstormand lightning activity is passing over some severely dry parts of the state.
However he says they are not bringing significant rainfall.
About 2.5mm of rainfall has been recorded this morning in Wagga, 2mm in Orange, 2mmin Forbes and 1mm in both Goulburn and Young.
Mr KING says the thunderstorms and high winds are expected to provide high fire dangerweather across the state today with windy conditions also expected tomorrow.
